Mama Mia! What a week!

Dry Creekbed at Goldstream Park

The highlight of this week was most definitely going to see Mama Mia in Victoria!  The music was wonderful; the acting was passable; and the audience loved it – except for the critic – the guy in the Times Colonist only gave it a 2 out of 5!  We didn’t notice – we were too busy having fun!

The tea cupboard is restocked.  From Murchies, Library – my favorite, a green and black blend, Blackcurrent and Murchies Afternoon are in their respective tins and the new ones, Rose Congou – this is very floral, lots of rose petals – has a tin.  I am waiting for an afternoon this weekend to try it out.

Rose Congou Tea from Murchies

The Moroccan Mint is waiting for a container – I want to blend it with some black tea, most likely Assam – I find the mint a little too strong without some black blended in.  I also went to Davids Tea for some “Read My Lips“, definitely the best Chocolate Tea that I have ever tasted!

Low tide at the Estuary

An Aerial dance in progress

As we went over the Malahat we stopped at one of the Viewpoints.

You could see much of Finlayson arm and the hawks were doing an aerial dance for us.  It was a gorgeous day!

Sophie survived her first overnight experience at the Kennel.  She was very happy to see us;  once we got home however  it was a different story!  We were scorned for most of the evening;  By the next day all had been forgiven and forgotten.

Both Wider and Deeper in size – Artyarns Cashmere!

I did get the cashmere knit.  I now have added a larger size to the Cleo Collar or Cowl.  The cashmere had enough yardage to make it both wider and deeper.  I love them both.  But ohhh the feel of the cashmere!

The Shawl version of Roses, Roses! I am so pleased with the results.

Fiona has finished the shawl Version of Roses, Roses – it is stunning.  The link will take you to more of Fiona’s pictures!  Knit with two colours of SweetGeorgia Sea Lace, and two colours of coordinating beads.

This weekend I will work on the Roses, Roses and Cleo Collar patterns.  I will be taking pictures with a model and putting the finishing touches on the patterns.

It should be a busy and productive weekend!

Hope that you are having a great Summer and enjoying some fabulous weather.

Happy Knitting
