Lost – One’s Knitting Mojo……

Details of the Delphinium Shawl.

Details of the Delphinium Shawl.

…. It disappeared sometime in the last week.  Perhaps it dropped off beside the last ball of yarn I wound.  When found please return too Me….
That is just how I feel right now!  The last two designs I have been working on need major revisions and it appears I cannot even follow a pattern – as I just had to rip back four inches GGrrr!

We have all been there and will be there again, but while it last it is frustrating!

So I did what any self-respecting knitter does – I applied some retail yarn therapy and then started a new project!  And not with the new yarns either!  I pulled out the Clara Yarn Lot #2 to play with – so far it is playing nicely!

Anne - the colourway is Mary Walker Phillips. I loved the way that Schaeffer yarns named their colours after famous women.

The new yarns are a hank of Anne by Schaeffer yarns that I found languishing in the bottom of a basket.  I am so sad that Schaeffer yarns are no longer creating their gorgeous yarns.  Anne is/was one of my favorites.  I knit the Delphinium Shawl from a hank of Anne.  The shawl was knit using the pooling technique.  I also have a couple of other skeins in my Stash!

The other yarn is called Dyed in the Wool by Spincycle Yarns.  This is a new yarn that Mad About Ewe is carrying.  I am really looking forward to playing with this one.  The yarn is created in quite a different way.  The roving’s are dyed and then spun – each hank is unique and the colours combine each time in different ways.  The look is very eclectic and funky.

I kept things safe with the new yarns and did not move out of my favorite colours – purples in all their glory and diversity – and weights – fine and finer – and I cuddled right up into them immediately!

I also applied some traditional retail therapy and bought some new clothes for the fall!  I am starting to feel better already.

I am feeling refreshed and revitalized and ready to tackle anything – including ripping back the three projects to where they need to be for the required repair work!

…….I will pick up the knitting that is fighting me this evening and start again…… Music soars in the background and the lights are fading.   LOL!

Happy Knitting

Lynette
