Fascination

Fully opened and absolutely perfect!

Fully opened and absolutely perfect!

Roses have fascinated humans for eons.  I share that fascination.  Gardeners have grown and created more varieties of Rose than can be numbered over the centuries.

We are not the only ones fascinated by the Rose.

We are not the only ones fascinated by the Rose.

Poets have written prose; Artists have recreated the Rose in many mediums; Perfumers covet the clear sweet aroma of a classic Rose; Herbalists have myriad of uses for the Rose; And Kings have had the Rose as their Emblem.

Amazing Colours!

Amazing Colours!

The Image of a Rose is set deep within every human culture.  A Rose is Synonymous with both Beauty and Danger.  A Rose speaks to us at many levels.

Multiple petals catch the eye!

Multiple petals catch the eye!

Just as there is a language of flowers - Roses have their own special meaning in that language.

Doubly Perfect.

Doubly Perfect.

I am a knitting teacher and knitwear designer. I work full time in my LYS, Mad About Ewe Fine Yarns. I recently was 1st runner up in a Vogue Knitting Design Competition called the Magic of Mohair. My design was featured in the Early Fall 2011 Vogue Knitting. I will have another design in the Vogue Knitting Winter 2011 edition. I have recently purchased a Canon Rebel Camera and have started taking way too many pictures. I love this site for sharing my thoughts and pictures. Life is good!
