Incredible skies and reflections.

It has been a wonderful string of gorgeous days here. On Sunday morning we walked around the Upper lake in Colliery Dam Park. It was shady and cool under the trees. There were dogs and people swimming in the lake – a very idyllic day.

As we walked around the lake the waters would appear and disappear through the trees.  The skies were an incredible blue.   The lake was perfectly calm, reflecting everything around the edge of the waters into the water.

Light cascades down the trunks of the trees to the lakeside.

Dragonflies flit everywhere, hovering and landing randomly.

There were dragonflies everywhere, flitting over the surface of the lake and landing idly and leaving quickly as we approached.

The temperatures during the day here have been unusually high, but around the lake and in the shade they were perfect.

A very relaxing walk.

Happy Viewing
